Kilterdesign + Kilterworks
Kilterdesign,LLC is a design studio with a focus on modern + sustainable design. Our designs are constructed, manufactured, installed and loved by a range of craftspeople. Most of our products and anything purchased on this website are produced by or through Kilterworks, LLC and purchased through them.
Order Status
We want you to be happy with your product and your experience with us. While we are working to get your product ready for shipping, we will keep you posted on its status by email or by phone.
Sales Tax
No sales tax will be charged on any orders shipped within the United States (excluding Utah). We are located in the state of Utah and will apply sales tax to orders from customers in the state. Customers are expected to comply with current state laws regarding over the internet purchases made by them in their state.
Shipping
Many of our items are custom and handmade and therefore not shipped immediately upon receiving an order. Often it will take 4-6 weeks before your item is constructed and packed for shipping. We know that you are excited to receive your product and will do our best to speed that process. We will also keep you posted as to what stage your order is in as you wait for your anticipated product arrival date. All of our smaller items ship with standard UPS or FedEx. We cannot ship to post office boxes.
Quickship
We try our best to respond to the needs of our customers. Sometimes project timing trumps flexibility, kilterworks maintains limited inventory of select items. Items that are in stock will ship within 15 business days of order confirmation. Stock levels constantly change; availability can be confirmed by contacting the company directly at orders@kilterworks.com
Inspect before you sign
Before you sign for the delivery, it is very important that you inspect the package for any damage. Refuse the delivery if there is any visible damage to the shipping box or item.
Returns
Merchandise purchased through kilterdesign.com may be returned for store credit or exchange up to 15 days after delivery. Returns are not accepted without a written consent form or return pre-authorization from kilterworks and must be accompanied by original receipt and in original condition in original packaging. In the event a return is authorized for any reason other than damage or defect, the customer will be responsible for a restocking fee of 25% as well as all shipping related fees. Unauthorized returns will be refused. Claims for any defective or damaged item must be filed within 15 days of delivery. After 15 days of delivery all claims will not and cannot be processed.
Order Cancellation
Orders that are cancelled after 24 hours may be subject to a minimum restocking fee of 50%.

Discounted Products
We are constantly experimenting and creating new products. High quality prototypes are often created before we launch a product. With our perfectionist personalities, the prototypes we create are nearly as good as the final product. These prototypes, along with other products that may have been damaged in shipping or some other way, also need a good home. We know some of our clients and customers don’t mind a little “character” in their products and this is a way to get a nice piece at a reduced price. Please contact us with serious inquiries.
Warranty
Kilterworks extends a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser of any Kilterworks product. We want you to be completely satisfied with your Kilterworks purchase. If you find any product to be lacking in quality, we will replace the item or refund the cost if you notify us within 15 days of your signed delivery. After that time, should our product fail due to defective materials or workmanship under normal use, we will repair or replace it. Custom orders may be excluded.
This does not apply to:
– Prototypes or discounted items that are sold “as is”.
– Damaged items caused by a carrier other than Kilterworks.
– Extreme or drastic temperature variations, moisture or exposure to unusual conditions.
– Third party materials applied to product
– Failure to follow proper intended use and care of the product.
To sum it up, if you take care of it and use it properly, it should be around a long time.
Terms of Use
Kilterdesign + Kilterworks reserve the right to modify this website and change terms with or without notification. Before any purchases are made the customer must agree to the terms and conditions. You must also be over 18 years of age and provide accurate, complete and true information. The use of this site is provided on an “as is” basis and you must agree and understand that the use of it is at your sole risk. You agree to hold harmless kilterdesign and/or kilterworks and its owners, directors, employees, officers and suppliers form any action or damage, claim or demand. This also includes attorneys’ fees made or incurred by any party arising from use of this site.
